Rx4Prevention is an independent Iowa-based mobile vaccine service. We have been working with facilities like yours in Iowa and surrounding states for over ten years. Preventing disease with vaccines is our business's sole focus. All our pharmacists are experienced, certified immunizers.
We specialize in ensuring residents are offered recommended vaccines at no cost to your organization. We streamline the process to safeguard residents and decrease the workload of your staff. Five essential services Rx4Prevention provides
1. Eligibility Screening
Our licensed pharmacists conduct a thorough vaccine eligibility screening for your residents. They ensure your residents are up to date on vaccines for Influenza, Shingles, Pneumonia, COVID, RSV, Pertussis, and Tdap. We're guided by the most up-to-date ACIP / CDC recommendations.
2. Seamless Scheduling
We work with you to set a visit date that fits your facility’s schedule.
3. Pre-filled Consent Forms
We send to you a list of eligible residents and pre-filled consent forms approximately two weeks ahead of the visit. Residents (or their POA’s) sign the consent forms prior to the scheduled clinic day. Given this pre-planning, vaccine clinic days run efficiently.
4. On-site Vaccine Administration
Our pharmacy staff travel to your facility and administer the recommended vaccines to eligible, consenting residents. We set up a temporary clinic in an area of your choice in your facility, such as a conference room or lounge. For patients with significant mobility issues, we go room to room to give the injections.
5. Post-visit Support
We update your facility’s PointClickCare records, handle insurance billing, and submit required vaccine data to the state database (IRIS). We also provide on-going vaccine management to for newly-admitted patients and as the healthcare environment changes.
